Home Lands Breaks Ground on Serene Heights Resort Apartments Thalawathugoda

Home Lands officially marked the groundbreaking of its newest residential development, Serene Heights Resort Apartments, Thalawathugoda, on 7th May 2026, introducing a unique concept of Zen-inspired resort living to one of Greater Colombo’s most sought-after residential locations. The ceremony was attended by Nalin Herath, Chairman of Home Lands Group of Companies, together with the Board of Directors and company officials.

Designed around the philosophy of “Where Luxury Meets Serenity,” Serene Heights Resort Apartments will feature 300 elegantly designed two and three-bedroom residences overlooking scenic paddy landscapes. Each apartment has been thoughtfully crafted with spacious layouts, soft natural tones, contemporary interiors, and abundant natural light to create a calming and harmonious living experience.

The development will also feature 45+ international-standard amenities focused on wellness, recreation, entertainment, and everyday convenience, including a swimming pool, yoga and meditation deck, indoor and outdoor gymnasiums, jogging track, spa and sauna facilities, landscaped gardens, reading nooks, private dining spaces, sports courts, and dedicated social and community areas — all designed to encourage a balanced and enriching lifestyle.

Located in the rapidly growing Battaramulla – Thalawathugoda residential corridor, the project offers seamless access to Colombo city, major highways, schools, universities, hospitals, wellness centers, and leisure destinations, while still preserving a peaceful environment away from the rush of urban life.

Nalin Herath, Chairman of Home Lands Group of Companies, stated: “We identified a growing demand for residential living in Greater Colombo, where people want to remain closely connected to the city while still enjoying a sense of peace and balance in their everyday lives. With Serene Heights, we wanted to create more than just a residential development, we envisioned a sanctuary that brings together accessibility, modern luxury, and serene living in one thoughtfully designed environment. The Battaramulla – Thalawathugoda area continues to emerge as one of the most in-demand residential destinations, and Serene Heights reflects the evolving lifestyle aspirations of today’s homeowners.”
